The Community Tab consists of your profile details, which can be edited here, and any of your friends’ details. You can search for friends, accept friend requests and you will find all of your friends under the ‘My Friends’ page.

How do I invite friends to my Pikum?
If you are creating a Pikum, when you are on the “Pikum Launched” page you can challenge your friends by clicking on the friends (on Pikum) and then clicking on “send challengers”. If you would like to invite friends that have not yet joined Pikum! then copy your Pikum URL into an Email and send it to them. You can also use a Widget to advertise your Pikum on your own site.

How do I find my friend’s Pikums?
Click on “my friends” under the community tab on the home page, this will bring up all of your friends. Once you have found your specific friend then click on “view Pikums” on their name.

How do I change my personal details?
It is your responsibility to inform Pikum! of any changes to your personal details that may impact the use of your account e.g. a change of address. If any of these details change, you can go onto the Pikum! website and click on Edit Profile and change your details, as long as you are logged into the Pikum! website. Alternatively, you can contact the Customer Service Centre, where an agent will be happy to amend your details once you have answered a set of security questions.
Pikum! may request documentary proof of identification for changing some personal details, such as physical address, for example.

What is a contact email address and how do I change it?
Pikum! sends all email notifications to your contact email address. Occasionally, Pikum! may need to send important updates to you, so it is critical that this information stays up to date. To edit your contact email address, simply go to the "My Settings" tab of the My Account page. If you enter a new address, you will have to confirm that you have access to that email address before we accept it as your contact email. As soon as you enter the new address and save changes, we will send a confirmation link to that address. Clicking on the link confirms the contact and completes the process. Pikum! will not sell or distreibute your Email address to any third party.

Where can I change my profile?
Click on “edit profile” under the community tab on the home page, this allows you to edit the following information: basic info, contacts, personal info, Sport interests, schools/ jobs & picture. You can also add widgets and websites.

Where can I change my display name?
On the home page you will find “Community”. Click on “edit profile” and then click on the “basic” tab. The first name displayed will be “display name”, where you can change your name. THIS IS NOT YOUR FIRST NAME. Now click “save Changes”.

Can anyone view my Personal information?
Only people you have accepted as friends can view your full profile. This means all of your confidential information (email, telephone numbers, and address) is only available to accepted friends.

How safe is my personal information on the Pikum! Site?
Pikum! is committed to protecting your information. We use industry-standard and proprietary network monitoring tools that constantly run on our system in order to prevent security breaches and protect the security of your data.
In addition, Pikum! always posts to a secure page when users are logging in and employs industry-standard encryption. This may not always be apparent from the URL, but you can rest assured that our logins are secure.

Does Pikum! distribute my user information?
Pikum! respects your privacy. We don’t distribute your user information to marketers or spammers. You can read more about this in our Privacy Policy.

How do I search for people?
On the home page is “Community”, where you can search for people. The following filter fields can be filled in to find someone: name, hometown; email address; personal match (someone with the same interests as you); sports match (someone with the same sport interests as you); school/ job match (someone that attended the same school or worked at the same company as you); sex; age; country.
You can select a few or all of the above filters to find someone you know, or to find someone that has the same interests as you.
Once you have found your friend, click on “add friend”. This will send a friend request to the person. Once they have accepted the friend request, they can be found under your “my friends” on the community tab.

Where do I find all my friends I have accepted on Pikum!
On the home page you will find “community”. Click on “my friends”, which will bring up all friends you have accepted on Pikum!. From this page you can: view their profile, view Pikums they are playing, and view their friends.

Where do I remove someone I no longer want as a friend?
You can remove your friends at any time. On the home page is the community tab. Click on “my friends” and then click on the “remove friend” tab. This will remove this friend from your profile. If you remove someone as a friend and they keep sending you friend requests, you can contact a Pikum! representative to assist.

What is a friend request?
This is where some one has requested you to be their friend. If you know the person, you can accept them. If you do not know them, but would still like them as a friend you may do so. You can remove anybody from “my friends” at any time.

How do I report abuse on the Pikum! site?
Pikum! encourages all users to utilise the "Contact us" link when they find abusive content. Selecting this link takes you to a form where you can specify the type of abuse and make a detailed report. Pikum! investigates these reports and makes a determination as to whether or not the content should stay on the site or be removed. All abuse reports on Pikum! are confidential.
